Banner Display Policy
The Lapeer District Library allows the display of banners on library property with the prior approval of the library director. Non-profit organizations within Lapeer County may display banners at the Marguerite deAngeli and Otter Lake Branches. The banners are the property of the organizations, and the library staff will provide ties for the supports and installation help.
All banners must follow these restrictions:
- The display of a banner must not exceed thirty (30) days prior to the event that is being publicized.
- Banner must not exceed 12’ in length and 4’ in height.
- Verbal permission to install the banner is given by the Library Director, with dates for installation given at that time. Contact information and size of the banner are required before permission is given.
- Dates for installation are given on a first-come first-serve basis. Accommodation of more than one banner at a time is made by the library director in consultation with the facilities manager.
- The library allows only non-profit organizations to display a banner free of charge as a service to the community and shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss to the banners that have been placed on library property.
