Administrative Office
The Lapeer District Library Administrative Office is located in a small building behind Lapeer County Animal Control. It was built in the 1960s to house the Lapeer County Library. At that time, it included a collection of materials. It now houses staff who support the entire library system of seven branches. Those include the director and assistant director, the business manager, several staff in support roles, and the facilities manager.

Library Administration
The Lapeer District Library is guided by a Board of Trustees: seven appointed individuals from two townships, the city, and at-large members from the rest of the county.
The library staff who manage the day-to-day affairs of the library system are a director and an assistant director for technical services. They are assisted by a business manager, facilities manager, assistants who manage the website and the library’s marketing plan, and the clerk who is responsible for getting materials ready for circulation and for ordering the supplies that allow the library staff to provide programming and keep the buildings up and running.
