Week Calendar

This program is meant to show parents fun ways to build their children's early reading skills by playing games and doing activities with them. Different activities on each date.

A storytime with a craft best suited for preschool-elementary ages. All ages are welcome. Adult engagement required.

Playtime for little learners! Friday Friends can help children develop social skills by playing with their peers. Kids of all ages with an adult are welcome to join, but best for ages 2-4. 

Join us for a kids yoga class instructed by Ms. Felicia. Bring your own mat or blanket and learn some new yoga moves together. For families with kids aged 2-12. Please register grown ups in the family in attendance as well. 

The Friends of the Marguerite deAngeli Branch Library will be accepting material donations on Saturday, May 25 in the deAngeli parking lot from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. weather permitting or until the trailer is full. 

If you enjoy reading and sharing books with other adults, check out the LDL Book Discussion Group. This book discussion group usually meets the fourth Friday of each month at 11:30 am at the Marguerite deAngeli Branch Library.

The Knitters Group meets at the Metamora Branch Library on Thursdays from 1-3pm in the meeting room. Participants are welcome to gather to knit or do other crafts that can be hand carried. No paints or other liquids allowed.

Stop in anytime and look at this month's cookbook pick. Choose a recipe and bring it in for a tasting and discussion.

The May 16 Board Meeting has been moved to May 23 at the  Lapeer Center Building.

Stop in to meet Allie Seibert, the author of the new book "The History of the Hadley Mill." Books will be available for purchase and signing. Light refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Hadley Historical Society.

Free family meal followed by stories for families with children ages 0-12. Registration required. Funding for this program is generously provided by the Kiwanis Club of Lapeer.
