Join us for a tea party with a Tea-Rex! Storytime, snacks, and afternoon tea/lemonade for families! Please register for all family/friends attending.

After a long personal battle with chronic health issues, Dr. Teresa Cummings wanted to help others facing similar struggles. Her book Beyond the Medication offers practical solutions, emotional support and a holistic approach to finding wellness.

Babies and their caregivers are invited to a special themed social event made just for them every other month. A short storytime followed by playtime with their new friends. Ages 0-2. 

This is not a library sponsored event. 

Educating residents on lead hazards in plumbing, helping residents identify lead sources in plumbing, and teaching residents maintenance of their drinking water supply.

Kindergarten Readiness is a one-hour workshop for parents and caregivers with children 3-5 years old. We teach fun and re-creatable activities at home to help get your little one ready for kindergarten!

Child Tutoring: Tutoring is for elementary children between grades 1st through 4th who need assistance in reading and/or math. Kids will have one-to-one instruction with a trained tutor.

Join us for storytime, craft and play time! For kids ages 0-5. Registration not required. 

The Metamora Book Club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 1- 3 PM at the Metamora Branch. Registration is not required and new members are always welcome.

Support groups create a safe, confidential, supportive environment or community and a chance for participants to develop informal mutual support and social relationships.

Storytime and crafts are selected with preschoolers in mind, but kids of all ages and their families are welcome to join. Adult participation is required. 

2025 Schedule 

The Knitters Group meets at the Metamora Branch Library on Thursdays from 1-3pm in the meeting room. Participants are welcome to gather to knit or do other crafts that can be hand carried. No paints or other liquids allowed.

The Hadley Book Club meets on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 6-7 PM at the Hadley Branch. Registration is not required and new members are always welcome.

Stop in to see local author, Yvonne Osborne, talk about her first book, Let Evening Come.

Playtime for little learners! Friday Friends can help children develop social skills by playing with their peers. Kids of all ages with an adult are welcome to join, but best for ages 2-4. 

2025 Schedule 

The Friends of the Marguerite deAngeli Branch Library will be accepting material donations 2nd Saturday in January, February and March at the Lapeer Center for Innovation from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. Access the building on the West side entrance.

The Otter Lake Book Club meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 11 AM. No meetings June - August and the October date is pushed to the third week. 10/20.
