Summer Reading Program: June 7 - August 2
Celebrate the summer with reading, prizes, crafts and much, much more during our 2024 Summer Reading Program! All of our seven branches will have fun crafts and exciting programs for all ages. Join our Summer Reading Program for your chance at amazing prizes including family membership to Seven Ponds Nature Center, LEGO®, Bluey Car Tent, and gift cards to over 15 local businesses.
Log the number of days you read between June 7 - August 2. Each day you read earns you a ticket towards the weekly and grand prize drawings for your age group.
Same rules for all age groups. Each age group will have their own set of weekly and grand prizes.
Upon registration, kids 0-12 will also receive one plush reading buddy and a free book for registering.
Log your days by Friday at 5 p.m. to qualify for the weekly drawings. All days must be logged by Friday, August 2 at 5 p.m. to qualify for the grand prizes.

Summer Reading Events
Join us every Tuesday & Thursday for a FREE lunch for children ages 0-18! Registration is required for lunches. To register, call the deAngeli Branch Children's Desk by noon the day before the program.
Have you ever noticed how colors and patterns are everywhere in nature? Investigate how animals’ colors and patterns help them live and thrive in their habitat.
Join us at the Historic Farmers Market of Lapeer for a mini storytime and craft. Families with children of all ages are welcome to join. This program will take place on the courthouse lawn and will be cancelled in the case of bad weather.
