Event Details
Local author Nancy Stimson will discuss her book, Searching for Shade. Searching for Shade follows Stimson on her motorcycle trip across the Western United States where she covered 10,000 miles in 31 days. After battling breast cancer in 2011, Stimson found her passion with motorcycle riding. Over the next 8 years, Stimson rode through 20 states and over 56,000 miles, concluding with a plan to explore 49 US States and 10 provinces in Canada. In 2020, with the onset of COVID 19, Stimson is forced to change her plans frequently in order to complete her journey.
