Color and embellish your own animal-themed Halloween mask!

TLC helps make the library a better place for teens. Meeting at the deAngeli Branch Library on the third Thursday of the month. Meetings take place in the fiction area on the second floor of the building.

Playtime for little learners! Friday Friends can help children develop social skills by playing with their peers. Kids of all ages with an adult are welcome to join, but best for ages 2-4. 

The Otter Lake Book Club meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 12 PM. No meetings June - August and the October date is pushed to the third week. 

New members always welcome!

October project: Zentangle Leaves

Free family meal followed by stories for families with children ages 0-12. Registration required. Funding for this program is generously provided by the Kiwanis Club of Lapeer.

Preserve your precious photographs for future generations. Bring up to 10 unframed photographs, size 11 x 17 or smaller, to be scanned by library staff. You will leave with your photographs and the digital scans saved to a free thumb drive.

A storytime with a craft best suited for preschool-elementary ages. All ages are welcome. Adult engagement required.

The Knitters Group meets at the Metamora Branch Library on Thursdays from 1-3pm in the meeting room. Participants are welcome to gather to knit or do other crafts that can be hand carried. No paints or other liquids allowed.

If you enjoy reading and sharing books with other adults, check out the LDL Book Discussion Group. This book discussion group usually meets the fourth Friday of each month at 11:30 am at the Marguerite deAngeli Branch Library.

Join us for a tea party with a hint of magic! Mermaids, dragons, and fantasy creatures! Families and kids are encouraged to dress-up. Storytime, snacks, music and afternoon tea for families!

Drop in for Halloween crafts, games, and goodies. Costumes encouraged! 

The Friends of the Marguerite deAngeli Branch Library will be accepting material donations every 2nd and 4th Saturday in September, October and November at the Lapeer Center for Innovation from 10 a.m.

Join us for storytime, craft and play time! For kids ages 0-5.

Author Nelle Cooper will share her experience researching Oakdale , the Lapeer State Home, for her new historical fiction book.

Child Tutoring: Tutoring is for elementary children between grades 1st through 4th who need assistance in reading and/or math. Kids will have one-to-one instruction with a trained tutor.
